A LESOTHO SUCCESS STORY

In the dynamic world of entrepreneurship, certain individuals consistently rise to the top, demonstrating exceptional dedication and strategic acumen. This month, we spotlight Makrabo Mtamane, a shining example of success from Lesotho, whose consistent performance has earned her regular recognition. We sat down with Makrabo to uncover the secrets behind her achievements and gain insights into her approach to building a thriving business.

A Foundation of Faith and Focused Marketing

When asked about her consistent excellence across various Key Performance Indicators, Makrabo humbly attributes her success to a higher power. “Firstly, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to run this business,” she begins. Beyond faith, however, lies a disciplined approach to marketing. Makrabo dedicates 4 to 5 hours daily to promoting her Sportron business on various WhatsApp groups. Her strategy involves providing valuable health education on different diseases, followed by an introduction to the business opportunity. She emphasises the potential for individuals to earn a 20% profit from product sales, along with Step Level Bonuses as they build their teams.

Spousal Support: A Shared Belief in Natural Wellness

Makrabo’s success is further amplified by the involvement of her husband, a feat many consultants struggle to achieve. She credits his initial positive experience as a product user during the Swissgarde era. “My husband was initially a product user… and the products helped him, his brother, and their father,” she explains. When he saw Makrabo re-enter the business, he readily joined, recognising the value of promoting natural products. He personally benefits from the products, particularly Omegatone, Stressgarde, and Ultragarde, which help him manage workload stress. Inspired by the collaborative success of role models like Baba Mbatha and Mama, Makrabo and her husband aspire to build a similar partnership in their business.

Recruitment Strategies: Community Engagement and Empowerment

Recruiting consistently is a challenge for many, but Makrabo has found a winning formula. Her advice to struggling consultants is to actively engage with their communities. “I attend community gatherings in different areas and ask for a slot to introduce our business,” she shares. This approach allows her to reach individuals she might not otherwise encounter, presenting them with the opportunity to become their own boss through the company.

Fast Start Success: Mentorship and Replication

Makrabo’s ability to nurture new recruits is evident in the number of Fast Starts she achieves. She attributes this to her own positive experience with the Fast Start Programme. “With the Fast Start Programme, it is easy for me because that was how my journey started,” she explains. By sharing her personal journey and emphasising the transformative power of the Fast Start Programme during presentations, she inspires her new recruits to follow in her footsteps.

Product Passion and Powerful Testimonials

When asked about her favourite aspect of the business, Makrabo immediately highlights the products and their positive impact on customers. She also shares her personal testimony as a diabetic who defies expectations. “I like our products and the way they help our customers! I also have a personal testimony as a diabetic who doesn’t show the signs…” She further leverages the power of testimonials from satisfied customers to build trust and credibility.

Incentives: Catalysts for Growth

Incentives have played a crucial role in Makrabo’s business growth, particularly The Bigger Deal Incentive from January to June 2024. She actively engaged with the incentive, which propelled her from Senior Consultant to Group Consultant and ultimately to Entrepreneur of the Month in May. The incentive also enabled her to qualify for a 32-inch television set, a significant achievement. “The Big Deal Incentive worked wonders for my business,” she emphasizes, encouraging all consultants to participate in incentives to unlock growth and increased earnings.

Event Attendance: Strategic Planning and Incentivisation

To ensure strong attendance at team and company events, Makrabo collaborates with Ntate Kaloli, who strategically offers incentives to the first 30 people to register and pay. This creates a sense of urgency and encourages early registration. Setting deadlines and short grace periods further contributes to exceeding planned attendance.

Future Vision: Expanding into Untapped Territories

Looking ahead, Makrabo envisions expanding her business throughout Lesotho. “Lesotho has not yet been tapped!” she exclaims. Her plan involves developing leaders who can reach different villages, bringing the benefits of the products and the business opportunity to a wider audience and transforming lives across the nation.

Makrabo Mtamane’s story is a testament to the power of faith, hard work, strategic planning, and a genuine passion for helping others. Her success serves as an inspiration to consultants everywhere, demonstrating that with dedication and the right approach, anything is possible.
